Arthritis is the disease of joint pain or joint disease that cause inflammation of the joints of the body. It has posed as one of the major problems for millions of people in the country.

The disease, common to senior citizens, is one of the killer diseases. With the advent of the winter, the disease tends to increase its severity. The main symptom of this disease is that it causes stiffness, excessive pain and swelling in the joints.

Though there is no permanent solution to the problem diet control and Ayurvedic treatment can mitigate the problem to a great extent.

1. Ginger:

It is one of the most easily available items from the kitchen. Ginger has antiseptic properties due to which it can reduce joint pain as well as swelling. Besides that ginger also helps in increasing the blood circulation, brings heat to the body.

Drinking ginger tea on a regular basis help in reducing the severity of the disease. Besides, that ginger paste can also be applied to the joints to reduce pain.

2. Ajwain:

Ajwain has the property of anti-inflammatory components which acts as a natural aid to arthritis pain. Besides that, it has also anesthetic properties that relieve patients of excessive pain.

What you need to do is take a spoonful of Ajwain seeds and put it into a tub of hot water. After that soak your aching joints in that water for 5-10 minutes. It will help in reducing the pain as well as swelling.

To alleviate the pain just crush the seed and apply its paste on the swelling areas. Drinking Ajwain water also helps in reducing the problem.

3. Shallaki Herb:

It also helps in reducing the joint pain and make your joints more strong and healthy. This herb is popularly known as Boswellia Serrata. It is available in the form of powder and oil.

Applying this oil and powder not only help in reducing the pain but also increase the mobility of the joints. It also substitutes for the modern painkiller.

4. Eucalyptus Oil:

Eucalyptus oil is one of the most common herbal treatments arthritis problem. The eucalyptus plant leaves contain tannins. Applying this oil will not only reduce the pain but also reduce the swelling. The aroma of eucalyptus oil has the calmative effects on the brain.

5. Nirgundi:

Nirgundi helps in great extend to relieve the pains from the joints because of its anti-inflammatory, anti-convulsing and anti-oxidant properties. The leaves of Nirgundi plants have the medicinal properties.

Event its stem and the seeds are very useful for joint pain. Easily available this plant not only reduce the swelling but also relieve from the excessive pain. Bitter in taste, the plant has the potency to reduce the pain and it can be used as a paste on the swelling part.
